This Privacy Policy explains how Cockadoodle (the “App”), an alarm-clock app for Android published by AAAwesomePossumLabs (“we”, “us”), handles information. We built Cockadoodle to be privacy-respecting: it has no user accounts, no analytics, and no server of ours that your data is sent to.
The short version
Cockadoodle stores the following data locally on your device only. It is used to make alarms work and is never transmitted to us or to any server we control:

The App can show the current weather on the wake-up screen. This feature is optional. When it is active, weather is fetched directly from your device to Open-Meteo, an open weather service. We operate no server and never receive these requests. A weather request contains:
These requests carry no account, API key, advertising identifier, or other identifier. The App never requests or uses precise GPS location. Denying the location permission still lets you use weather with a typed city, or you can ignore the feature entirely. Your chosen location is stored only on your device. Cockadoodle displays rewarded ads served by Google AdMob, a Google advertising service. When an ad is requested or shown, Google’s advertising technology may collect and process information, including:

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to present a consent form before serving personalized ads. Your choice determines whether you see personalized or non-personalized ads. You can change your choice at any time from within the App’s consent/privacy option where available.
You can limit ad tracking or reset your advertising ID at any time on your device:
Cockadoodle does not require an account and does not collect any of the following: your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise GPS location, photos, camera or microphone input, calendar, or health data. (Approximate location is used only for the optional weather display described in Section 2, and only with your permission.) We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services, and we do not sell your data.

These permissions support the alarm and weather features on your device and are not used to collect personal information about you.
Cockadoodle is a general-audience alarm app and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
Because the App stores its data only on your device, you are in control of it. To delete all data the App created, uninstall the App or clear its storage in Android settings. Data processed by Google for advertising is retained and deleted according to Google’s policies, linked above.
The App’s data stays in your device’s private app storage, which Android isolates from other apps. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but apart from the weather requests described in Section 2 and the ad requests described in Section 3 — neither of which we receive — we do not transmit your personal data off your device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be noted in the App or its store listing. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
